2. Editing: old school or new school?

Depending on your music background, patterns can be composed using two kind of interfaces:

• The old school step sequencing interface, used by many drum machines/sequencers, including the classic Roland TR, TB and MC series.
• The Piano roll / Grid interface, which takes advantage of the large touchscreen of your PDA.

Once you have composed patterns, chain them or sequence them into an entire song, mute instruments and tweak the synthesis parameters.

You can even use the touchscreen as an XY sensor to control two synthesis parameters with your thumb or the stylus!
