What are the differences between Microbe and Bhajis Loops?
While Microbe is more oriented toward live performances, Bhajis Loops is better for composition and sequencing - While it takes seconds to create a basic drum track with a bassline on Microbe, the same task requires much more manipulations on Bhajis Loops, but you also have much more control on all the parameters, and a whole lot of extra features.
This also means that people without music skills will quickly manage to compose something with Microbe - because there is a narrowed number of options, while they will not be at ease with Bhajis Loops and its hundreds of options and settings. Microbe is thus more suitable for a non-musical just for fun use.
Can I upgrade from Microbe to Bhajis Loops?
Microbe and Bhajis Loops are two different products, and some people are indeed using both - so it is not possible to upgrade from one to the other. However, if you are a Microbe registered user and wish to register Bhajis Loops, we can offer you a discount. Please email us at this address for more information!

Which devices are supported?
Check the list on the download page!
Do I need special hardware?
Not at all! However, the sound is much better with headphones than with the built-in speaker of your PDA!
How many voices / effects can I use?
Microbe can play the 8 sample channels and the 2 synthesis channels at 22kHz on any PalmOS 5 device. However, on the slowest devices, it is not possible to use several instances of CPU intensive effects such as flangers or reverbs.
File formats questions
Can I play my Microbe songs in other applications? What can I do with my songs once they are finished?
You can export your song as a Bhajis Loops module, which can be played on other Palm devices by the free replayer pioopiooplayer!.
You can also render your song as a .wav file on a memory card, and then copy this file on your Mac or PC.
