This the the most amazing palm software I've purchased in years. I am suprised by the versatility this program has for getting ideas you get on that airplane ride to sound like a desktop program could only do, or so I thought. (And then export them to desktop when you get back home if you want!) I am really hooked and am writing more music than ever because of it! On vacation, lunch periods, dentist waiting room! Simply what I've been waiting for in a palm music app. With my TREO 650, I can even record vocal ideas using my phone's mic and put them into the music (not recommend that in dentist office waiting room...). Really Cool App that I bought without any remorse. A must try if you sequence music at all or want to start.. You won't be sorry.
Truly amazing. I seriously am considering buying this. I wanted to get something like this for my PC, But this is cheaper, portable, and does a very good job. Great program. Everyone should try the demo and I bet you'll want to buy it too.
If you are a professional or amature music maker this is the ONLY program to buy for your palm. It is unbelievably powerful. I am blown away. This turns your palm into a music making device that is more powerful and portable that you could ever hope. Write songs from scratch sitting in a park or on the bus. Something come to you while you're at a friend's house? Jot it out in actual music! You will not regret buying this amazing software.

Don't let the word "Loops" mislead you as it mislead me. This really is a music studio in your palm - pun intended. It's a sampler with sequencer. More like Cakewalk or Cubase than Acid. I almost missed the boat on this one because I thought it was just a loop generator/arranger. It is far more than that. It's the answer to my hopes for a MOD tracker on PalmOS, only it has the more MIDI-traditional interface of piano roll, rather than text note "spreadsheet" most used in MOD trackers (which would be nice to have, but is not so natural).

Use your own samples, record samples (if your device has recording, which mine sadly does not), and make custom instruments with a subtractive type of wave table synthesis (filter and pitch osc) and ADSR. The sequencer even has a record function allowing you to record your notes played on a small on-screen keyboard.

Very cool and very capable for a $30 PalmOS tool. The UI is designed wonderfully and beautifully, and is easy to learn even without reading documentation (I learned it by poking around for two hours on the demo).

Renders to WAV and exports to MIDI, so your away-from-home doodling can be imported into your professional studio for refinement and continued work.

This is the first time I have purchased PalmOS software since buying my Zodiac2 (largely because it has all I need except a music studio!) and the decision to purchase was clear within the second hour of using the demo. I've also had almost instant feedback/resolution from the developer when I had a technical glitch testing Microbe (another cool little music app from this developer which exports to Bhajis Loops).

Highly recommended to anyone who wishes they could use their PalmOS device for music composition on the go. This is it! Get it and have fun!

Hi, I've been an avid Palm Pilot user since the old days of the Palm Pro.

Never before have i been so utterly compelled to write a review of a program!

Its quite simple really..I usually skim over other reviews when looking at new products and look for star ratings and positive / negative things but I never really read them.

Please read this. This program is fantastic!!

One of the most feature rich, fully realised rock solid programs I have ever used. The developer has thought of everything, the support is amazing and the application possibilties are endless. This is a sequencer in your pocket. People have composed stuff on this that has been featured on the radio! I have used this program to perform and mix music live at gigs as well as using it as teaching aid for my students. (Creating bass and drum patterns in minutes so that guitarists can play along with them). This is quality stuff and leap years beyond what I thought was possible on my T3.

Best value I have ever come accross.

Download the prog and a few sample packs.. read the tutorial..make music. Simply Stunning.

I had no idea my Tungsten E was capable of running such an amazing program. We can make sample-based music easily and freely wherever we may please. Worth every cent and way more.
If you like to write music, or if you even think you might want to try, buy this program!!! It is hard to believe what the author of this program has crammed into it. It is a sample based synthesizer, multitrack pattern-based recorder, and mixing desk with effects, all on your humble palm. You can't even touch this kind of power on the PC for anything close to the price. Plus, the author is very helpful and responds quickly to inquiries.
probably THE best pda music software out there. Don't be afraid, Clie users, you will get almost everything out of this application that it has to offer, and it truly is excellent. Load up a sample, start making changes to the wave-form (if you want), and start making music. Great to use almost anywhere, plus it is very intuitive. I haven't even touched the manual yet =). Doesn't seem to run the battery down too quickly, either. Plus, the devloper is uncannily quick at responding to email and answering any questions you might have. A top notch program with great support.
Logic/Cubase on the Palm! Realtime reverb! Spooky :-) Live-Mode! Besides the dynamite sequenzer-software, the Bhaji's 1.2 Update really turnes the palm into the No. 1 drummachine available on planet earth, together with Dinh Guyen's BTmouse app you have Bluetooth-Remote control over Start-Stop/ Pattern up-down/ Tap-Tempo/ Load-Song using any Bluetooth-Mouse! You can export all tracks of your songs as single wav-files to the PC! Olivier Gillet deserves the Palm-Oskar! Tks Olivier, this is a monster! I give it 127 Stars
I thought I had ran out of 'wow' factor on my Tungsten T but this changed everything. An incredible program....highly addictive...you can very easily get absorbed into creating tunes for hours. I must admit I envy the T3 owners with the heap of 8meg! This program has made the urge to buy a T3 somewhat stronger now... I would like to see in a future addition some sort of effects automation...on the filter especially...if not just the filter...
Just as the microbe-synthesizer, the Bhajis Loops music studio is an unbelievable program! The Palm's ARM processor is quite unemployed with a few office applications, so try the two music softwares! IT IS AMAZING!!! Congratulations to the developer, your applications are the BEST I ever saw for a Palm device!!! Hint: Try to do some advertisement on known TB-303 webpages! I'm sure the people there are going to buy a Tungsten instantly just to enjoy your software!!
A truly amazing musical tool. Imagine a complete audio studio in the Palm of your hand! Compose music anywhere! Whether you are a Pro or hobbyist, this is the by far the best and only tool out there. The musical possibillites are endless. It even exports .wav files ready to be burned to CDR, converted to .mp3 and put on the web. There is no other program like it. Along with the personally dedicated support from the developer its a sure thing. I purchased it after only trying it 2 days.
I'm not a musician, and I don't know if I have time or space to explain how good this app is. First of all look at my review of Microbe by the same developer, and square it. Suffice to say, this application is at the top of its class, even if there's almost no competition. It's like Wordsmith, or DateBk5, or ShadowPlan, or Accounts and Loans, or Bejeweled...you get the idea. Except that it's the top of its class in music composition. And Mr. Gillet has been second to none for customer service and upgrades. If you like music, and think "I can do better than that" when listening to what's on the radio, here's your chance. Honestly. You can create your own samples in addition to the dozens already available, save your compositions to your PC, and if you're so inclined, burn some CDs. I hate paying more than 20 bucks for Palm software. (Actually, I hate paying at ALL.)I'm cheap, but this is quite the exception. What're you waiting for? Download the demo and be prepared to pull out your credit card.
Unbelievable. Everything you'd expect of Fruity Loops or the like, on your Palm. I'm writing music with a frantic-ness I haven't felt in years, because I can do it anywhere! This is so cool I can't stand it. Good work and congratulations on a masterpiece.
This has to be the best mini music making palm application out there!! You should hear the sample tracks! WHOA!! Sick! I'm no musician, but I have learned how to lay down some tracks. And the other great thing this have a FREE player for users with out Bhajis, and you can export you tune to a WAV file, and share with everyone!! GET IT! You won't not be sorry! This is the best $27 I've ever spent on a palm program! Like Olivier says: Eat your Bhajis!
This app is the only that can satisfy CUBASE or EMAGIC user on the Palm Platform. It is still undergoing improvement day by day. The developper is very responsive. If you want produce a jingle or a whole song. Try Bhajis. It's really a professional tool. And it will support MIDI export in the future - as I heard. Good job Olivier. It was high time you went.
WOW!! This is incredible! This is Fruity Loops on a Palm handheld. I need to get another SD Card!

Appearing on Handango...

I have been hooked on this software since I got it, and it allows me to work on beats and music during work. I am using this with a tungsten t palm, and it works beautifully, I may even get a T3 in the future to work with more power. I was impressed with the wav file quality after rendering my song with the enclosed program, and never had a problem getting help from the actual programmer. The password was e-mailed to me within 8 hours of purchase, and I cannot say enough about the program. I have even started loading my samples and they work perfectly.
If you love to make music on your Palm, get it!!! Its really comparable with big brothers on PC like Cubase or Audio Logic. I hope many peoble will buy this jewel!
Delightful product that had me fully involved for hours and hours. Create a pattern. Save it. Copy it, paste it, change it, save it again as something else. Create another pattern. String 'em all together. Make up your own instruments by adjusting the built-in sounds or sample your own and pull 'em in off .wav files. Save as a song. Then play it through your really good sound system and prepare to be awestruck! This is just s-o-o-o-o cool.
If you like your tunes (of any desciption), and have always thought "I reckon I could do that (re)mixing/composing thing", then buy this product. I never write reviews on things like this - have always been too lazy to bother. And then something like Bhaji's Loops (and its sister product, Microbe) comes along and totally blows you away. Long plane / train / taxi journeys just disappear as you get totally into sampling, splicing, mixing it all up in whatever sort of musical genre pushes your buttons. Stunning - I am amazed the T3 can handle it (but it does, and admirably). If you don't yet own a Palm 5 OS product, I'd seriously consider getting one so you can buy this software. It really is THAT good.
If you like to write music, or think you might want to try, buy this program! For the price, you can't touch the features and quality, even in a PC program. The fact that you can get a sampling synth, pattern based multitrack recorder, mixing desk with automation and effects to even run on a Palm blows my mind. This is the most fun I've had in 5+ years of being a Palm user.
I've used other tracker-type apps in the past, but this stands head and shoulders above anything else. If you enjoy making techno/garage style music this program alone is enough reason to invest in a PDA. It's hard on the hardware though, my old T1 had trouble running it. If you have a T3 and like making music you can't not own this.
When the Roland MS1 came out, I had to buy one, and have the first battery operated sampler. Then the Yamaha QY70 came out. Bought that too, so I then had fully portable XG voices and sequencer. But Bhajis loops on my Clie UX50 outdoes both of these !. There's no limit to what you can do. Import any .wav file, be it from the PDA's voicerecorder (if it has one), or music - anything - and Bhajis allows you to edit it down to what ever sound you want, EQ it, chop it, reverse it, and create an instrument from it. The author of Bhajis clearly has a brilliant understanding of music production. I cannot find any fault with this. The amount of instruments is amazing. The amount of pattern banks, samples, effects buses - it's all astonishing. I cannot think of any hardware portable device that can do this, let alone on a PDA. You wont ever tire of the built in samples - especially the Roland TB samples. If you do, simply import your own!. I've recorded real synths, like my Moog and imported snippets of chords as a .wav file, and hey presto, I can now get create a Moog orchestra in my pocket. Say you're at a concert, you like the music, record a bit with your PDA's voicerecorder, and seconds later, you're editing down this new .wav file into a sample for your track. I plug it into friends' mixing desks in their studios, and they cannot believe what they're hearing, and then they see the song arrangement window, and it's just like Cubase, etc.. And it looks awesome on my HiRes 480x320 screen. Hey, I should be a salesman for Monsieur Gillet, but I'm too busy making music !. Merci Olivier, Vous êtez un Génie !!
Bhajis Loops changed my Palm from being just a fancy calendar, to a fancy music-making machine. I have played with music applications on a Personal Computer before, but could not really figure them out, and never got anything made. Now I find myself actually making music, and looking forward to do it. A two-hour train-ride this weekend, was just too short, as I could easily have spend more time composing while on the road. If you want to play with constructing music, I can truly recommend this application!
I am a long time user of computer music sequencers and pattern editors, since the early days of C64. Nowadays I spend a lot of time in front of PC jotting new ideas in MIDI in audio. Up till now I couldn't find a decent software for my pocket device that could help me in music making progress. When I saw the screens of Bhajis Loops I couldn't believe my eyes. As an owner of Palm m515, I actually bought Palm Zire 72 because of this program. And I am still stunned with awe. This is a fully operational MIDI sequencer using samples from sf2 files or standalone wavs, with MIDI export to PC and rendering to WAV. The workflow is amazing, and I cannot think of a better way of using the limmited Palm screen. Mind you, this also runs on 160x160, so if a dedicated HI-RES is to be made, even more stuff could be added to a single screen. But not necesserily. Sound is great. Zire emits some noise through hreadphones (around -63db), but it doesn't hurt the listening. Effects are quite useful, but you may deal with them on your PC, after painless tranfer via supplied sync (or simply save the MIDI or rendered wav to SD card and transfer it to PC manually). Editing options are spot on, humanizing and randomizing is really helpful. If only Zire batteries would last longer, I drain them dead with Bhajis without noticing the passage of time... This is the BOMB!!!
I've purchased many music synths and devices as toys (I'll never be a musician, but I love music and technology). Bhajis Loops is so logically organized and so powerful that it has helped me to better understand the other devices! I especially like the fact that I can manipulate parameters (e.g. filter settings or waveform) or build passages while it is playing, giving instant feedback. I'm running this on a Treo 650, and Bhajis is the most unexpected benefit of this wonderful phone.

Einfach der Hammer was alles damit geht.
